LOUISVILLE, KY - D6 Family Conference
Last week I had the opportunity to travel the D6 conference in Louisville, Kentucky with my Creative Trust colleagues. The D6 conference focuses on family ministry - both in the home and at church. The work we do at Creative Trust serves those kinds of folks in particular - through What's in the Bible, JellyTelly, and Galaxy Buck - so it only made sense for us to be one of the main sponsors of the event!
In addition to our sponsorship, we premiered Galaxy Buck: Mission to Sector 9 and Phil Vischer (the creator of VeggieTales, What's in the Bible, and Galaxy Buck) spoke at the event. Because of this, we needed all hands on deck. Almost the entire media team was there - including the executives - with the exception of a few staffers who held the fort down in Nashville.
The days were long but I had an absolute blast. There were a lot of firsts for me in Louisville - it was my first time interacting with those that use the products I help make, my first time spending lots of unstructured time with the whole Creative Trust team, the first time I got to watch Galaxy Buck with folks not working for its success, and the first time I got to hear Phil speak.
That said - I am thankful that churches and families enjoy the resources we provide for family ministry, I'm thankful for the team at Creative Trust, and I'm thankful for the creative force that is Phil Vischer. Without all of these folks, I would be out of a job - and a fun one at that!
